Job Summary

As a Content Specialist for Seabrook’s Marketing Department, you will lead the creation of visual storytelling across the town’s digital platforms. Your primary focus will be onsite photography and videography, capturing Seabrook’s events, lifestyle moments, retail experiences, products with an emphasis on lighting, composition, and maintaining brand consistency. The Content Specialist is responsible for the social media content calendar and creating engaging posts for both the Seabrook town account and the Seabrook logowear account, ensuring each platform showcases Seabrook’s brand, activities, and community in engaging, high-quality ways.

This role is onsite at least three days per week, includes weekend work as necessary, and collaborates closely with the broader marketing team that encompasses both vacation rentals and real estate. This position is perfect for a visually driven creator who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and is passionate about capturing real moments, designing content people want to engage with, and helping Seabrook’s brand come to life.

Job Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of town events, seasonal activations, lifestyle shoots, retail/product shoots, and community happenings.
  • Apply strong knowledge of interior photography, exterior natural-light shooting, golden-hour lighting, and nighttime/event lighting to produce consistent, polished content.
  • Film and edit short-form video content for social platforms including Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, and Facebook, as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain a well-labeled photo/video library for internal team use.
  • Manage posting across Seabrook accounts including the posting, caption writing, scheduling, and content curation.
  • Build and update a content calendar aligned with town events, business promotions, holidays, and marketing priorities.
  • Monitor engagement and respond as needed to maintain active community dialogue and brand presence.
  • Track performance metrics and help refine social strategies for higher engagement and reach.
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute lifestyle shoots, campaign visuals, and event coverage.
  • Produce supporting assets such as thumbnails, simple graphics, and social templates when needed.
  • Work cross-departmentally with retail, hospitality, events, and real estate when visual content is needed for their marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with onsite event coverage during peak weekends, celebrations, and major town events.
  • Uphold Seabrook’s brand standards in all visuals, ensuring consistent quality and aesthetic.
  • Support the marketing team on broader content-related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, coordinate shoot logistics, and ensure readiness for on-the-ground captures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong photography and videography skills with an understanding of lighting (indoor/outdoor), composition, shot planning, and event coverage.
  • Proficiency with DSLR camera systems.
  • Intermediate video‑editing skills using tools including in‑application and separate video editing software, such as Cap Cut.
  • Ability to manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously with a clear understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and emerging platform best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing photo libraries, scheduling posts, and prioritizing projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and problem‑solve during fast‑moving shoots or events.
  • Strong written communication skills for crafting captions and messaging in Seabrook’s brand voice.
  • Basic graphic design abilities preferred.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and jump into last‑minute event coverage when needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably in lifestyle, events, hospitality, or community‑focused content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with natural light, interior photography, and event coverage.
  • Prior experience managing brand social media accounts is highly preferred.
