This vacancy is to fill a Supervisory Accountant position within the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Office of Accounting.
Basic Requirement- Education:
Degree: accounting; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. (The term "accounting" means "accounting and/or auditing" in this standard. Similarly, "accountant" should be interpreted, generally, as "accountant and/or auditor.")

Combination of education and experience:at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
and (c) except for literal nonconformance to the requirement of 24 semester hours in accounting, the applicant's education, training, and experience fully meet the specified requirements.
To qualify at the GS-14 grade-level, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Utilizing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting standards in the United States and/or foreign countries to analyze financial and/or cost accounting data of commercial enterprises pursuant to Antidumping and Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) proceedings;
- Planning, Performing, and Documenting anti-dumping duty verification procedures pursuant to anti-dumping proceedings;
- Preparing technical cost-of-production calculation adjustments in accordance with U.S. anti-dumping duty laws; and
- Writing fully developed memoranda, issue papers, decision memoranda, and court briefs addressing technical accounting issues in anti-dumping proceedings.

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.
