PositionReporting to the senior financial management team, the Finance Associate / Senior Accountant will provide hands‑on accounting, financial, and operational support across a complex portfolio of entities and investments.
This is a highly visible, multi-entity position with exposure to a diverse range of activities, including operating businesses, real estate investments, private foundations, family trusts, and personal financial accounts.
Key responsibilities include:- Prepare financial statements and financial reporting for multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and perform day-to-day accounting operations.
- Manage account reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close activities.
- Provide accounting and financial support across operating businesses, real estate entities, trusts, foundations, and other investments.
- Assist with tax preparation, compliance, and coordination with outside advisors.
- Perform financial analysis and provide information to senior financial management.
- Support cash management and other financial and operational activities as needed.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc assignments across the organization.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive family, investment, and financial information.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on accounting professional who is comfortable working independently in a sophisticated, multi‑entity environment and enjoys variety in his or her responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive, hands‑on accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience working with accounting/ERP systems;
Sage experience is preferred. - Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen and practical common sense.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling highly confidential financial and family information.
- High level of integrity, dependability, loyalty, and professionalism.
