Basic FunctionThe purpose of this position is to provide administrative and programmatic support for the daily operations of the Estate Planning and Heirs’ Property Clinic and the Clinical Law Center. Such support involves significant responsibility, complexity, and variety. This part‑time (20 hours/week) position reports to the Director of the Clinical Law Center and is fully funded by a grant.
Nature and ScopeInternal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff, and students in the university and law school. External contacts include government officials, grant makers, and a variety of institutions, agencies, and organizations.
Principal Accountabilities- Provide administrative and programmatic support for the Estate Planning & Heirs’ Property Clinic and the Clinical Law Center.
- Grant writing and reporting, event planning, programmatic support, administrative support, and attendance at the weekly Estate Planning & Heirs’ Property course.
- Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the Clinic.
- Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, case‑management software, and other programs.
- Experience performing high‑level administrative and program coordinator duties in a legal or higher‑education environment.
- Experience with event planning and external communications.
- Commitment to social justice, civil and human rights, and work with diverse constituencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and deliver quality customer service.
- Ability to maintain effective and harmonious relations with faculty, staff, students, and external constituencies.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and two years of experience in an administrative or program coordinator capacity. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
