As the Temporary Executive Assistant for this Washington, DC-based association, you’ll step into a busy team and provide hands-on support where it is needed most. This is a great opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who can quickly get up to speed, manage a variety of priorities, and bring structure to a fast-moving environment. From coordinating schedules and meetings to assisting with projects and keeping day-to-day details on track, you’ll play an important role in helping the team stay organized and productive.

- Manage calendars and scheduling for leadership, coordinating meetings, priorities, and shifting requests with care and efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across the team, helping track deadlines, coordinate projects, and keep important tasks moving forward.
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and other documents; capture follow-up items and help ensure next steps are completed.
- Arrange domestic travel, including transportation, lodging, and itineraries, while also assisting with expenses and invoice processing.
- Keep databases, spreadsheets, and contact information current and accurate.
- Assist with written materials, including briefing documents, summaries, and internal communications, ensuring materials are clear, polished, and ready for distribution.
- Work across departments to gather information, coordinate logistics, and help keep projects and administrative needs on schedule.
- Provide additional support for recurring association meetings, research, and special projects as priorities arise.
- This is a temporary hybrid work opportunity, requiring flexibility from mature professionals able to adjust their schedules to meet the needs of leadership.

- Experienced. You bring at least three years of administrative or executive support experience and can quickly acclimate to a new team and environment. Experience with associations, think tanks, or Capitol Hill is a plus!
- Reliable. You follow through, stay on top of details, and can be counted on to keep assignments moving without constant direction.
- Organized. You’re comfortable balancing calendars, meetings, projects, and administrative requests while keeping priorities clear.
- Articulate. You communicate thoughtfully and professionally, both in writing and in conversation.
- Discreet. You understand the importance of confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Team-minded. You’re willing to jump in, lend a hand, and work collaboratively to support the needs of the broader team.
The hourly listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
