Facilities Management Specialist

This position serves as a Facilities Management Specialist for the Department of Justice, Executive Office of United States Trustees (EOUST) Facilities Management Branch Washington, D.C., 20530. This position is delegated the authority to manage and maintain several occupied facilities. The incumbent will serve as the space utilization manager of assigned facilities, automation, and telecommunication administrative operations.

To qualify for the position of Facilities Management Specialist, at GS-0301-13/14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.

If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).

You qualify for a GS-13 Facilities Management Specialist if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector maintaining cradle to the grave aspects of project management as they relate to facilities maintenance; of managing costs and time of the facilities construction.

You qualify for a GS-14 Facilities Management Specialist if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading cradle to the grave aspects of project management as they relate to renovation or construction; or evaluating the full design of projects and making changes as needed.
