This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
We build workers for the work that keeps the country running.
At Statecraft, we are building a synthetic workforce to help keep the US Government running. Our AI Operatives are trained on government workflows, operate reliably and compliantly, and build their own tools and software to help achieve outcomes and digitally transform outdated processes.
America is not short on forms, policies, or good people. It is short on hours. Our public servants are overworked and understaffed. For too long, contractors and consultants have made empty promises to solve this problem. Instead, they've wasted billions in taxpayer dollars. We're changing this with an AI workforce that works around the clock and improves over time. On average, we save taxpayers 80% while helping agencies deliver on initiatives and their mission 10x faster.
We've raised a seed round, worked some pilots, and are aggressively pursuing major contracts that put us in direct competition with staffing behemoths like Accenture, Deloitte, and Booz Allen. Our product offering also brings agentic coding to the government, with our AI Operatives capable of building software in minutes at virtually no cost to drive out overcharging software companies like Palantir, SAP, and Salesforce.
We're hiring a Chief of Staff to help drive this work forward.
We’re looking for someone to serve as an extension of our founding team. You may be early in your career, with a record of learning quickly and finishing work that matters. Doing well here means keeping recurring operations on schedule, giving leadership clear recommendations, and delivering projects without someone chasing the next step.
You'll work directly with the executive team on research and special projects across the company. You'll turn open questions into recommendations and take projects through to completion. You'll also own the daily operations that keep the team working, across people, finance, legal administration, and vendors.
As you build judgment and trust, you'll take on larger projects with more independence and help decide how the company runs.
Responsibilities include:- Owning research and special projects across the company: define the question, investigate options, recommend a course of action, and carry it through
- Preparing executive briefings and tracking decisions, owners, and commitments so projects move forward
- Running people operations, including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and coordination with payroll and benefits providers
- Managing operating deadlines, routine agreements and renewals, vendors and purchasing within approved budgets, and invoice, payment, expense, and bookkeeping records with outside advisors
- Supporting event planning, coordinating PR, and driving marketing campaigns
- Managing executive scheduling, travel, correspondence, and follow-ups, and organizing company meetings, events, and offsites
We are still incredibly early. Processes will be missing and priorities will change. You'll help build those processes while running them, raise problems early, and know when a decision needs leadership or an outside adviser.
Statecraft is fully AI-native
. You'll have room to automate our own operations, using AI to prepare briefings, organize records, track follow-ups, and reduce repetitive work. Bring an idea for what should run itself, and you'll have the agents and budget to make it happen.
Of course, there are some requirements for this opportunity:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Must be based in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) area
- Evidence that you take responsibility and finish what you start,…
