Job OverviewJoin our dedicated internal Employee Assistance and Wellbeing team at the Senate Sergeant at Arms and play a pivotal role in documenting and creating captivating visual content for presentations, PDF/infographics, and web content. The EAP Special Projects and Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing multiple projects and collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the Senate community. Partner with the team to create strategic marketing plans, informative internal publications, and cohesive and dynamic web content to maximize employee and organizational wellbeing throughout a diverse organization.
This position will be tasked with utilizing technical skills, creativity, attention to detail and upholding high ethical standards to help our program continue to adapt and grow.
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain communications and promotional materials that elevate the visibility and impact of Employee Assistance and Wellness programs, including written content, resource tools, and digital assets.
- Manage timely updates and content administration for the EAP website, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with program objectives and organizational standards.
- Coordinate and monitor workflow processes for communication requests, overseeing review, approval, and dissemination to ensure efficient and consistent messaging across platforms.
- Support program development efforts by preparing engaging training presentations, contributing to project planning activities, and assisting with the rollout of new initiatives and services.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver administrative and content-development support.

Bachelor’s Degree.
Required Work Experience- At least 2 years of experience in health/wellness communications and/or project coordination.
- Knowledge of communication and content-development principles, including writing, editing, messaging, and branding best practices.
- Understanding project coordination and workflow management processes, including tracking systems, review cycles, and quality-control procedures.
- Familiarity with digital content management, including website maintenance practices and basic principles of user experience.
- General understanding of employee assistance programs (EAP) or human-services environments.
- Strong professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Proficient in communication and design tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe or similar platforms, and web content management systems.
- Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, enabling productive partnerships with multidisciplinary teams.
- Creative problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to refine processes and improve communication products.
- Proficient in using technology to streamline work processes and enhance productivity and demonstrates aptitude for learning and applying new technology and digital tools.
- Familiarity with workplace wellness programs, EAPs, and/or community health and wellness marketing.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, tight deadlines and stakeholder relationships.
