DC Endodontic Center is seeking a skilled, energetic, and personable Dental Assistant / Patient Concierge to join our premier endodontic practice in the heart of Washington, DC. This is a unique hybrid opportunity for a DC X-ray–certified dental assistant who thrives in both clinical and patient-facing environments. The position is temporary with the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Position OverviewThis dual-role position combines hands‑on clinical assistance with front‑office patient concierge responsibilities, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities- Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, ensuring comfort and confidence
- Set up instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures
- Assist the provider during endodontic treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain compliance with infection control protocols
- Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and well stocked
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (endodontic experience preferred)
- Active DC Radiology (X-ray) Certification required
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Greet patients warmly and serve as the first point of contact
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using Open Dental
- Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and post payments
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and providers via phone, email, and in person
- Educate patients on procedures, paperwork, and financing options
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Support an exceptional patient experience through empathy and professionalism
