ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the following:
- Chairside assisting during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and sedation cases
- Preparing and breaking down surgical trays and operatories
- Assisting with patient monitoring during IV sedation
- Maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols
- Supporting patients pre-op and post-op with clear communication and compassion
- Taking dental radiographs and assisting with digital imaging
- Keeping surgical days efficient, organized, and patient-focused
You will be required to possess the following:
- Active Washington, DC Dental Assistant license (required)
- Minimum 1 year of oral surgery assisting experience (required)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working in a surgical or sedation environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm in fast-paced settings
- Reliable, professional, and team-focused
Preferred but not required
- DAANCE certification
- Specialty dental or oral surgery background
