City Smiles DC is encar looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining patient comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment.
- Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3‑D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
- Provide superior chairside assistance (e.g., four‑handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare the treatment room with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, and place or expedite orders as needed.
- Partner withिना providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
- DC x‑ray certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Regular HIPAA training and protection of PH衣 and耐 data safeguards.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and complaining.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs at times.
- Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically. TB testing required for select states.
