- Establish and enforce BIM standards, templates, and content (families), aligned to project requirements
- Supervise, support, and train BIM staff through task-based coaching and hands-on production leadership
- Industry: Building Design, Modeling, and Digital Construction (BIM/VDC)
NESC Staffing is hiring a BIM Manager for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity supporting one of our client partners in the DC/VA area. This is a 100% onsite role and serves as a production leader responsible for BIM execution across project delivery—owning model quality, drawings, coordination outputs, and team performance.
What You’ll Do:- Perform all core responsibilities of a BIM Modeler while leading overall project BIM execution
- Lead and supervise modeling and documentation across multiple project deliverables
- Own model QA/QC, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with standards and project requirements
- Produce and manage coordination files and support clash detection/coordination workflows as needed
- Partner with the Family Development function to update standards and create/adjust content for project needs
- Maintain and improve BIM standards, templates, workflows, and file structures to support scalable delivery
- Provide task-based training and production support for BIM staff to strengthen team capability and consistency
- Support drawing deliverables and documentation output tied to project schedules and milestones
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to resolve modeling/documentation issues quickly and efficiently
- Proven experience leading BIM production teams and managing project model deliverables end-to-end
- Strong hands-on BIM modeling and documentation skills (including quality-focused model management)
- Experience implementing/maintaining standards, templates, and content libraries (families)
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff through practical, task-based training
- Strong organization, accountability, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable working onsite daily in the DC/VA area
