WRA is a nationally recognized, top 125 Architecture and Engineering firm that serves a broad range of Federal and Municipal Government, Higher Education and Research institutions, K-12 schools, and industrial/manufacturing clients. We lead in the design of high-performance buildings, historic preservation, learning environments, transit centers, office environments, and mission‑critical and secure facilities.
We are seeking articulate and skilled architects to expand our growing design studio and support our college and university clients. This unique opportunity allows you to play a key role in developing the office, experience more responsibility, and gain growth in creative concepts, detailed design, client development, and project management. WRA is expanding and offers growth opportunities for motivated individuals with talent and drive.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in and lead various phases of architectural projects, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment with in‑house disciplines and external consultants.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule under guidance of senior architects or project managers.
- Contribute to project design through sketches, 3D modeling, and development of creative, practical solutions.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct code analysis, material research, and specification writing.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Support business development activities through proposal input and project presentations, as needed.
- Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture).
- Architect License required.
- 11‑15 years of architecture experience.
- Excellent technical skills and motivation to apply them to responsive and effective design solutions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills essential.
- Experience creating engaging graphics for building design presentations.
- Experience in construction documentation and building detailing.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and dedicated to exceptional client service.
- Some limited travel possible: project‑related travel within 400 miles.
- Proficient in AutoCAD™ and Revit™.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphics programs desirable.
- Resume/CV describing education and work experience.
- Work examples / portfolio showing design and technical capabilities.
