Your Role

What You Will Do- Collaborate on interior architecture and interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules
- Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Architects and Project Managers to deliver project milestones
- Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
- Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture from an accredited program
- 3-6 years of professional experience with commercial architecture & design firms; inclusive of at least 1 year of workplace (office) interior architecture and interior design projects
- Proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programs
- Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SPEXX a plus
- Knowledge of the design process, including FF+E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
- Conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Ability to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
- A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
- This role is not remote; we look forward to working with our new team member in our dynamic D.C. office.
- The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, with final compensation contingent on relevant experience.
