Job Description & How to Apply Below
Shield AI is hiring a presentation designer in Washington, D.C. to create high-impact decks and reusable presentation systems for complex defense autonomy products. The work sits with marketing and business development, but the day-to-day design problem is information design for technical systems.
The role is about making product, engineering, and mission concepts legible in slides without flattening the details that matter.
What you would work on- Design polished presentation decks from rough outlines, sketches, and stakeholder input
- Build slide templates, libraries, product decks, sales decks, and executive materials
- Translate technical diagrams, workflows, data, and system concepts into clear visuals
- Partner with marketing, product marketing, business development, and solutions engineering
- Maintain visual hierarchy, data integrity, and reusable presentation components
- Strong information-design judgment for quantitative, technical, and conceptual material
- Experience building PowerPoint templates, slide libraries, and flagship product or sales decks
- Ability to simplify complex systems without distorting the underlying meaning
- Skill with charts, process flows, system diagrams, timelines, and presentation graphics
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Illustrator, or Photoshop
This is not a classic robotics UX role, but it belongs on the board because technical storytelling is part of how autonomous systems get understood, bought, and deployed. It is a narrower design role than product design, with more focus on executive and customer communication than interface ownership.
