Keysight Design Engineering Software (DES) develops tools, workflows, solutions, and devices that accelerate customer development cycles for high‑frequency circuits, modules, boards, and systems. DES unifies Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), IP Data Management (PDM), and more, supporting open, multi‑physics workflows from concept to validation.

We are seeking an expert‑level Application Engineer Scientist to work with our Quantum solutions and Business Development teams in DES. In this role you will drive adoption of quantum solutions and business tied to government‑funded programs, formulating application solutions and partnering with our development team to introduce cutting‑edge solutions for complex customer use cases in the quantum electronics market. You will collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Technical Support, and Quality Assurance to capture requirements and deliver complete product solutions.

• Build strong relationships with quantum customers, understanding and driving solutions for their technical and workflow challenges.
• Develop compelling examples showcasing superconducting and other qubit architectures to support customer use cases.
• Work with a worldwide sales organization to drive business results and provide technical support as required.
• Prepare high‑quality technical proposals for government‑funded projects and programs with the business development team.
• Champion new quantum product introductions to drive adoption with quantum customers alongside the sales and application engineering organization.
• Help the sales team manage customer engagements within the sales process.
• Expand Keysight’s market footprint by extending workflows in superconducting circuits and systems.
• Bridge the gap between EDA workflows and Hamiltonian representations for quantum systems.

• Background in physics or electromagnetics.
• Strong understanding of quantum computing systems, quantum principles, and superconducting qubits.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in the quantum industry, familiar with simulation of superconducting quantum use cases.
• Hands‑on experience with Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL, Dassault Microwave Studio, and Cadence MWO/Virtuoso.
• Understanding of marketing concepts to drive go‑to‑market efforts.
• MS or PhD in physics or electromagnetics preferred.

  East Coast USA Keysight offices (preferred) or Calabasas, CA (secondary).
• Work‑from‑home opportunity for the right candidate.
• Required travel: approximately 10 %.

CA/MA pay range: MIN $126,930 – MAX $211,550. For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region. This role is eligible for the Keysight Results Bonus Program.
