As part of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program this casual part-time Systems Engineer, Senior Staff position in Deployed Reentry Systems will serve as a Deployed Reentry Subject Matter Expert.

Typical assignments include but will not be limited to:
Problem investigations into deployed hardware

Proofing new procedures and hardware for the Sea Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM) Nuclear program

Coordinating across a variety of internal & external customers

Mentoring new team members

Participating in Independent Review Boards (IRB) for major program reviews

Planning for future flight tests

Program planning, schedule development, and supporting various testing & production efforts

This  information reflects the standard job description for this position:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic QualificationsFBM Experience, specifically with Reentry Systems Experience supporting a deployed system, including problem investigation, technical documentation, and operationsFBM Flight Test preparation experience Active Top Secret Clearance Desired Skills Experience developing, testing, and deploying a new weapon system

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance Strong understanding of how Strategic Weapons System Facilities operate

Strong communication skills - both written and oral
