This position reports to:
Sales Support Manager
- Customer Support
The Nuclear Qualification Coordinator will be responsible for supporting operations, sales, marketing, and product management in determining product availability for nuclear safety and commercial applications based on qualifications and vendor availability.
In this role you will ensure compliance through effective management of Nuclear Sales Policy and oversight of third-party qualification labs. Our mission is to perform consistently and deliver value-added services to our customers with the highest level of quality exceeding customer expectations.
The work model for the role is:
Remote (Southeast Preferred)
- Assure compliance with ABB Corporate Nuclear Sales Policy by reviewing and approving Decision Tree Sale of Products or Services for Nuclear Facilities form as designated SME
- Collaborate with other ABB international Nuclear Segment Managers to review nuclear facility design & site assessments performed by ABB-approved vendor to update List of Approved Nuclear Facilities
- Provide ABB Nuclear Sales Policy training and guidance to internal ABB & external sales support personnel, plant and service personnel
- Support sales & marketing and product management to qualify ABB branded installed base retrofit solutions for safety related applications using approved 3rd party qualification labs
- Collaborate with internal ABB vendors and external vendors to originate CG Dedication Plans necessary to support installed base retrofit solutions for safety related applications
- Maintain proficiency as ABB internal auditor, ISO 9001 QMS and NQA-1 Lead Auditor to support EL internal ISO audits, ELSE CG Surveys and Appendix B Vendor Audits
- Provide support to ABB Appendix B facilities by performing Method 3 Source Verifications and A2LA ILAC ISO 17025:2017 Evaluations as NQA-1 Lead Auditor
- Attend regular nuclear industry conferences, including EPRI Circuit Breakers Users Group, Nuclear Obsolescence Group and EPRI Procurement Engineering & Related Topics
- Collaborate with Nuclear Business Development Manager (BDM) and regional BDM's to support quotations to support nuclear power plants and facilities installed base
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 2 years; or alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments in customer service.
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred*
- Navy nuclear or commercial nuclear industry background preferred
- Experience with ISO QMS, ISO Safety and/or 10
CFR
50 Appendix B, with Title 10 Part 21 a plus - Experience with vendor management or auditing of processes a plus
- Strong knowledge of ABB systems, SPINE, SAP, SOM, preferred
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- This role does not include relocation.
