We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our Technology sector (Transportation, Logistics, & Supply Chain) coverage team in McLean, VA. Job Title: Investment Banking Associate II – Technology Sector
Location: McLean, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Associate (Minimum 6+ months at Associate level)
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA graduates will not be considered
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, IPOs, and other capital markets activities within the technology sector
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, comps), and strategic assessments
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines
- Interface directly with clients, senior bankers, and other stakeholders
- Mentor and guide Analysts, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and professional development
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics
- Minimum 6+ months of experience at the Associate level in investment banking
- Bachelor’s degree from a top‑tier institution; MBA graduates will not be considered for this role
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring
- Demonstrated experience in deal execution, preferably in the technology sector
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Prior exposure to technology clients or transactions
- Experience with software, SaaS, fintech, or emerging tech verticals
- Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines
