Compliance Manager, Finance & Banking

Spruce Street Compliance is a compliance and operations consulting firm based out of Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC. Our firm is committed to supporting progressive causes and candidates nation‑wide. We are looking for a Compliance Manager based in our DC office to help oversee the day‑to‑day financial management of a client portfolio. This position will report to the firm’s Compliance Director and President.

• Manage the day‑to‑day operations and financial activity for clients
• Oversee a team of Associates with income record‑keeping into compliance databases and accounting files
• Process disbursements and track outstanding invoices
• Assist Compliance Director in managing client’s budget and tracking cash flow
• On‑boarding and off‑boarding client staff
• Process client payroll and 1099s
• Perform bank and compliance software reconciliations
• Prepare and file federal and non‑federal campaign finance reports
• Contribute to regular finance reports for clients
• Maintain compliance with GAAP
• Oversee compliance correspondence
• Assist Compliance Director with client procurement and maintaining vendor relationships

• 2-4 years of experience working with political or non‑profit organizations
• At least one year of experience with non‑profit and/or campaign finance compliance
• Bookkeeping experience
• Previous experience with Quickbooks Online preferred
• Moderate to advanced experience with Excel, Google Business Suite, and Dropbox
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines

Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 annually + generous benefits package including premium health insurance, retirement program, life insurance and professional development opportunities.
