Senior Accounting Consultant (Audit & Financial Reporting)

Compensation: $100,000 – $110,000/year + bonus
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Accounting Consultant in Washington, DC for our client, supporting audit, financial reporting, and SEC reporting initiatives across accounting and finance functions. This in‑office role partners closely with finance and accounting teams on technical accounting, financial analysis, internal controls, and systems implementations to support complex reporting and process improvement initiatives.

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Support operating plans, quarterly forecasts, long‑range planning, and complex financial models focused on profitability, pricing, and cost analysis.
• SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting: Assist with SEC reporting deliverables and technical accounting analysis in accordance with U.S. GAAP and FASB standards.
• Audit & Financial Reporting: Support financial and operational audits, consolidated reporting, and transaction‑related integration activities.
• Strategic & Transactional Support: Perform deal analysis, capital planning, budgeting, and ROI analysis to inform business and investment decisions.
• Systems, Controls & Process Optimization: Assist with internal control documentation, month‑end close enhancements, and financial systems implementation initiatives.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Certification: CPA preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of public accounting experience at a CPA firm, ideally Big Four or large public accounting firm, with experience performing at the Senior level.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong exposure to SEC reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, and audit coordination within complex corporate environments.
