IFC’s originate-to-distribute and capital mobilization initiatives—including securitization, the Managed Co Lending Portfolio Program (“MCPP”), B Loan syndications, parallel loans, private equity funds and anchor bond investing, thematic bond issuances, and other structured mobilization vehicles—have expanded substantially in recent years, reflecting IFC’s strong focus on originating assets that both meet World Bank Group’s development mandate and are consistent with the investment preferences of institutional investors.
The Syndicated Loans and Mobilization Department (“CSL”) is at the forefront of mobilizing private capital and credit insurance capacity for IFC clients from banks through the B Loan program, parallel lenders, and through MCPP from institutional investors and credit insurance companies. The Department’s Co-Investor Solutions division (“CSLCU”) is responsible for developing innovative products, platforms and other solutions to attract private capital into emerging markets, including IFC’s initiative to warehouse and securitize assets that it originates.
It is further responsible for mobilizing third-party capital through the suite of syndication products as well as attracting non-traditional syndication partners, including institutional investors, to support the growth of IFC’s loan business. The Department also manages the ongoing syndicated portfolio engagements with B Loan participants, parallel lenders, MCPP investors and global credit insurance companies.
CSLCU is currently seeking an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) for its Global Portfolio and Analytics (“GPA”) team based in Washington, D.C. The ETC will report to the Head of GPA.
Role & Responsibilities Syndications Portfolio Management and Distribution Solutions- Manage a substantial size of syndicated loan portfolio projects by providing high-quality service to B Loan participants/parallel lenders/MCPP investors on ongoing project work (amendments, waivers, restructurings, information on key developments, responding to inquiries). Ensure contractual responsibilities are being met.
- Execute refinancings, revolvers, and sell-downs through funded and unfunded mechanisms for individual assets or pools of assets in the portfolio.
- Handle other portfolio activities, including assignments and prepayments.
- For MCPP projects, prepare Annual Investment Project Reviews.
- Ensure contractual responsibilities with B Loan participants/parallel lenders/ MCPP investors are being met.
