Private Equity Associate

A DMV‑based private investment firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its team in 2027. They partner with founders and managers of lower-middle market businesses. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of industries, including business services, industrials, and consumer healthcare while also providing the chance to work closely with senior decision makers on a lean deal team.

The Associate will receive meaningful responsibility and extensive hands‑on transaction exposure across the full investment life cycle.

Private Equity Associate

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of investment banking and/or management consulting, experience.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills expected of a top‑tier Private Equity Associate.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced setting.

• Conduct research, market analysis, and financial modeling to support the investment process for the private equity associate function.
• Support due‑diligence work streams, coordinate with external advisors, and prepare investment committee materials.
• Build and refine operating models, valuation frameworks, and return analyses to support transaction decisions.
• Partner with portfolio company leadership teams on performance tracking, strategic initiatives, and value‑creation projects.
• Contribute to a collaborative, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves culture aligned with the firm's growth‑oriented investment philosophy.
