The Trauma Resilience and Education Center of Greater Washington, DC (TREC DC) is currently looking to hire full- and part-time clinicians. At this time, qualified applicants will be mental health professionals holding an active license in Washington, DC. There is a preference for psychologists who are PSYPACT eligible or clinicians who hold licenses in multiple jurisdictions. Applicants should have training and experience providing trauma-informed care.
We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about providing culturally-humble, evidence-based psychotherapy for PTSD and other sequelae of trauma. We are a team-based practice and hope to find clinicians who align with the TREC values of providing excellent trauma-focused therapy, supervision, and training within an empowering and affirming context.
- Currently a fully virtual position (with possibility of using office space if applicant is interested in providing in-person services)
- Associates are able to set their own schedule
- Client referrals are provided by TREC DC
- Weekly clinical case consultation with licensed therapists and trainees (Thursdays 12-1 pm est)
- Advertising and social media presence run by TREC DC
- Opportunities for training/consultation in evidence-based treatments for PTSD such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and evidence-informed treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Written Exposure Therapy
- Access to Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook with TREC DC email, Teams communication channels, share drive of therapy materials)
- Access to electronic health record system (currently: Jane Software) with telehealth capabilities (access to a backup zoom account is also provided)
- Opportunities to run workshops and groups
- Opportunities to participate in community outreach
- Monthly didactic trainings on topics pertaining to PTSD and psychotherapy
- Minimum of 13 clients/week for full-time status (the number of clients above 13 is determined by the associate)
- Fee split for clinical hour is 60/40 with 60% going to the associate after credit card fees
- Associates are paid biweekly (using the federal pay calendar) via direct deposit
- Health insurance will either be provided by DC Health or a stipend of commensurate amount will be paid to those that need health insurance coverage from their place of employment
- Associates are responsible for maintaining an active clinical license
- Malpractice insurance will be covered and maintained by the associate
- be licensed in Washington, DC and at least one other state
- have authorization to practice under PSYPACT or be eligible to enroll
- have interest/experience in providing supervision for advanced clinical trainees
- have specialized clinical experience/training (e.g., work with children/adolescents; couples therapy; disorders frequently co-occurring with trauma such as substance use/abuse or disordered eating)
- have training in evidence-based or informed approaches such as EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc.
