Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health float pool assignment with 2+ years of recent home health experience and a current BLS certification.

• Home health float pool setting providing 1:1 patient care
• Day shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts from 8:00 to 16:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patients will be seen in their homes within the service area
• Uses Homecare Homebase for charting and documentation
• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients in their homes as directed by the care plan
• Must be comfortable with floating to different locations within the assigned region
• Completion of modules required prior to and potentially during orientation
• No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract, with no time off in the first two weeks
• Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible but may receive a lower rate
• Must be separated from prior employment at the facility for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Casual or professional attire is recommended for home health visits

• Current BLS certification required
• Active DC or MD state PT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent home health experience required
• Experience with Homecare Homebase and OASIS required
• Two supervisor references required
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
