The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with technical and supportive functions, trains and provides orientation and guidance to newly hired pharmacy technicians, establishes and maintains good relationships with the health‑care team, coordinates responses Sneisen with appropriate internal and external parties, and performs all tasks in a timely and safe manner that is consistent with hospital policies, procedures, as well as state and federal laws.

Minimum Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate's degree inнуте science‑related field and 1 year of hospital experience as a pharmacy technician (Preferred)

  • 2 years experience in a hospital (Preferred)

  • Responsible for inventory control
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy purchaser about low stock items that need to be ordered
  • Perform monthly unit and section inspections to identify expired and soon‑to‑expire medication
  • Maintain records of controlled substance orders, receipts and disposition
  • Maintain Pyxis medication levels and accuracy of medication placement
Purchasing and Invoicing
  • Coordinate purchasing of drugs and related items, note receipt of product, process invoices, and assure payment through the system
