Job Description
Nutrition Associate (Part‑time, 20 Hours Per Week | Shifts Vary | Includes Weekends) – Position Code 250003GJ.
The Nutrition Associate is responsible for Patient Meal (MyDining) service. Secure patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face‑to‑face interactions.
Responsibilities- Maintain professionalism: communicate relevant information to Supervisor/Manager/Director; use appropriate communication with patients, nursing staff, visitors.
- Nutrition Service: receive and utilize accurate orders for patient meal service via CNMC and MyDining; take menu selections, confirm needs, discuss tray delivery time; offer alternatives within prescribed diet; review orders and communicate problems; prepare, assemble and deliver unit floor stock and patient nourishment; assist dietitian with NPO/liquid diets and calories.
- Performance Improvement: collect data for requested processes.
- Safety: speak up about unsafe behavior; validate and verify information; stop when uncertain and resolve; demonstrate clear communication; promote safety; attend to details.
- Safety & Sanitation: comply with safety and sanitation standards; remove expired items; follow NPSG for patient identification and handwashing.
- Organizational Commitment: partner in mission; recognize diversity; demonstrate integrity; maintain confidentiality.
- Customer Service: anticipate and respond to customer needs; follow up until needs met.

- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Minimum
Work Experience:
1 year some food service experience 6‑12 months or 12 months customer service experience in retail or food service (Required) - Required Skills/Knowledge: Translate written instructions into accurate patient meals; understand general nutrition and interpret special dietary needs; accurately measure portions of special products; perform basic IT data entry and print functions.
