Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN - Infection Prevention Coordinator to lead and manage infection prevention and control initiatives within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, reduce healthcare-associated infections, and promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
  • Conduct surveillance, investigation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
  • Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and Joint Commission infection control standards.
  • Educate and train staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation protocols.
  • Investigate infection outbreaks and perform root cause analyses.
  • Collect, analyze, and report infection-related data to leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, quality improvement, and environmental services to reduce infection risks.
  • Maintain documentation and prepare for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in infection prevention, infection control, or a related healthcare role within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
  • Experience in a hospital or large healthcare system.
  • Strong knowledge of epidemiology and infection prevention best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Certifications (if any)
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
