Valet Attendant ($17/hr + tips) – Waldorf Astoria DC

We are looking for a Valet Attendant to provide exceptional hospitality services to guests at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, DC. The position starts at $17 per hour plus tips.

• Hourly base pay: $17.00 + tips
• Open availability schedule

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
• Greet guests within five feet, use guest last names, and practice proper phone etiquette.
• Park and retrieve vehicles, drive slowly and cautiously, assist with bell services, luggage, and door opening.
• Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries.
• Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures, issue and collect claim checks, maintain ticket information, calculate revenue, and document key tags.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license for the state where the job is located.
• Minimum one month related experience or equivalent education/experience combination.
• Knowledge of customer service fundamentals.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Manual transmission usage desired; parallel parking ability.

• Regular talking and hearing required.
• Frequent sitting or standing for extended periods; occasional running, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Up to 5% travel may be required.
