Salary Range: $45,902 - $72,147 Based on Experience

Howard University Hospital seeks to hire a Recruitment Coordinator in our Human Resources Department who will embrace our rich and historic tradition of excellence.

- Assists with the coordination of recruitment activities. Oversees and manages new employee onboarding process.
- Assists with recruitment activities such as phone screens and interviews.
- Prepares new hire paperwork such as personnel action form, offer letters, onboarding documents, etc.
- Initiates new hire onboarding for pre-employment physicals, background checks, etc. Ensures compliance with employment law and policies when conducting background checks for hiring.
- Reviews applications and resumes for the selection of qualified applicants.
- Assists with the development and implementation of employment programs, plans, policies, and procedures for recruitment, testing, selection and job placement.
- With approval from the Director, extends and negotiates job offers to all selected candidates.
- Participates in career fairs and other activities to attract qualified candidates.
- Understanding of HR/Staffing practices such as on-boarding, off-boarding, screening, talent management, and recruiting.
- Working knowledge of current HR practices and employment laws and regulations
- Ability to problem solve and use independent judgement
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures and apply it to everyday practice
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and with an applicant tracking system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; great interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient organizational skills; attention to detail
