Job title: SQL Developer
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
OverviewFTS is seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our growing IT & Data team. This role will design, develop, and optimize SQL databases and ETL processes to support reporting, analytics, and business applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Build and support ETL workflows (preferably using SSIS or similar tools).
- Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Support reporting/BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) with clean, well-structured data.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and application developers.
- Contribute to data modeling and database design for enterprise systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of SQL development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools (SSIS).
- Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) a plus.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Hybrid work environment based in Washington, DC.
- Exposure to enterprise-level SQL Server and cloud database environments.
