The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming. In all of this "cyber noise," how can our client understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you—a lead information security risk specialist who can break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

Responsibilities:

As an information security risk specialist on our aviation team, you will consult for our aviation clients, leading the discovery of their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. You will oversee the analysis of technical and personnel details from SMEs and engineers as your team reviews the entire threat landscape. Then, you will guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

Your client will rely on you to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure our nation's airspace and its infrastructure. This is your opportunity to take a leadership role in information security while sharing your skills with both your clients and your team.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience with Program Control and Governance, System Security Lifecycle Management, Authorization, POA&Ms, Vulnerability Remediation, Privacy, System Security Officer (SSO) Support, or Threat Modeling
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with Policy Management Support, Change Management, Cybersecurity Engineering, Requirements, and Cybersecurity Tools Development
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Monitoring Standards and ATO Enterprise Security Requirements, including FIPS, NIST, Executive Orders, Notices, or Memoranda
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, Dev Sec Ops , or cATO
  • Knowledge of FAA, DOT, or aviation systems
  • Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Information Management, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • CISSP or CompTIA Security+ Certification
Vetting:

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client;

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $ to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
