National Recruiting Manager at Computer Enterprises, Inc.
CEI’s client in DC is an established trade association, and they are adding an Audio Visual Technician who is responsible for setting up, coordinating, operating, testing, and troubleshooting all audio and video equipment and conference calling services.
- Temporary contract (3 months with potential for extension)
- Onsite position Monday - Friday
- $40-45 / HR
- Serves as the subject matter expert and central point of contact for all A/V support & collaboration systems.
- Provide pre-conference testing and setup for VTC calls as required.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and general support of AV and VTC systems.
- Facilitate scheduling and setup of VTC capabilities to allow multiple sessions and multiple users per session as requested per help desk trouble tickets.
- Perform or coordinate diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and testing of A/V & VTC components as required to ensure all systems remain in good working, operational order.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical issues.
- Document, track, and monitor issue(s) to ensure timely resolution.
- Determine and recommend products or services which best fit the Customer/End Users’ needs.
- Provide telephonic and in-person customer service support.
- Perform general maintenance tasks and resolve less complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support.
- Liaison with all A/V service providers as required.
- Coordinate and/or conduct hands on user training for all A/V hardware & collaboration software in use. This includes:
Crestron Systems, Poly Trio systems, Polycom Group series, Polycom Pano systems, Polycom Content App, Skype For Business, MS Teams & Adobe Connect. - Maintain all A/V user guides and documentation to ensure they are current and accurate.
- Demonstrated skill and experience in working with AV and collaboration systems (CRESTRON, Polycom, Adobe Connect, Skype, Teams), such as VTC CODECs, cameras, and related network technologies.
- IT network experience with operational knowledge of the OSI model up to Layer 3 at a minimum.
- Possess related experience in customer service.
- 2-5 years of technical experience in the operation of AV and VTC systems.
- High school diploma at a minimum, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A+ certification required.
