Position: Cloud Engineer with Security Clearance
Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES
* Creating/updating cloud environment configurations to establish/support application workloads, including
* Azure Focused:
Configuration of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNets, Subnets, load balancers, App Services, Azure Batch, Virtual Machines, resource tagging, billing, policy implementation, and security controls b. AWS Focused:
Configuration of AWS Accounts, IAM Users and Roles, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, Network routes, Transit Gateway, Control Tower, Systems Manager, Config Manager, stack sets, WAF, Cloud Front, and Route

* Understanding of shell scripting and executing commands via the command line
* Designing and building out automation platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies - preferred skills are Cloud Formation and/or Terraform, scripting capabilities with Power Shell and Python
* Supporting and completing requests for operational support to include communicating level of effort and status to cloud leadership team
* Supporting data calls for resources provisioned within the cloud environment and reporting out status of resources.
* Identifying and communicating opportunities for improving agency security posture within cloud environments
* Collaborating with external development teams to understand cloud workload solution architecture within agency AWS/Azure environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5 years experience deploying/configuring application workloads within Microsoft Azure Commercial Cloud or AWS Cloud

* Demonstrated understanding of principals supporting infrastructure components including compute, network, and storage, with 7 years total hands-on experience in technology

* Demonstrated understanding of principals configurating and supporting application workloads within the Azure or AWS Cloud

* Strong understanding of cloud engineering methods, applications, and best practices across cloud service providers.

* Experience assessing, customizing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining current and emerging technologies, platforms, and applications to help ensure greater security and efficiencies, covering network, compute and storage principals.

* Experience with cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for customers to consume

* Demonstrated proficiency in automating processes with Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, Packer, Power Shell, or Python, including use of remote APIs

* Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems and hardening practices.
