The Technology and Transformation Department (TTD) Digital Product Business Analyst will support the discovery, development, and delivery of a digital product within an ecosystem of interconnected products. The role bridges business problems and technical solutions, with a user‑centric approach, ensuring that our digital interventions are rooted in deep problem understanding, data‑driven insights, and genuine user needs. The analyst will support implementation through close collaboration with business and technical team members in an Agile environment.

• Requirements Documentation:
  Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for digital products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
• Analysis:
  Investigate business demands to identify underlying problems, map current processes and user journeys, and validate inputs through brainstorming, interviews, and surveys.
• Methodology & Framework:
  Apply Design Thinking principles to empathize with users and define problems before ideating solutions.
• Business to User Stories:
  Translate business needs into user stories and deliverables for business and technical stakeholders.
• Prioritization:
  Facilitate prioritization workshops to manage scope and ensure delivery of a minimum viable product.
• User‑centricity & Continuous Improvement:
  Collaborate with the Product UX Designer to translate user vision into requirements, prototype, test, and monitor product post‑launch for iterative improvement.
• Data Insights & Impact Management:
  Define success metrics (OKRs/KPIs) with the Product Lead to measure customer outcomes and business impact; analyze usage data and user feedback to validate and iterate.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  Work in a “triad” with Product Lead and Tech Lead to assess feasibility, viability, and desirability of proposed solutions; document analysis artifacts clearly and concisely.
• Work Breakdown:
  Break down and sequence large chunks of work into epics and user stories, writing comprehensive SMART stories with clear acceptance criteria and Gherkin‑style scenarios.
• Functional Testing:
  Perform functional testing of developed stories to validate completeness before product owner validation.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• Experience:
  
  At least 5 years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in Agile projects; proficiency in SQL, JIRA/Confluence, MIRO/Mural, and data visualization tools; deep understanding of Agile rituals (Scrum, Kanban). Certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, UX) are a plus.

  Experience:
  
  Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies and their applications; broad understanding of ethical considerations and responsible use of AI.
• Languages:
  
  Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

• Citizenship:
  Citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries. Assistance with relocation and visa may be offered.
• Consanguinity:
  No family members up to fourth degree of consanguinity or second degree of affinity, including spouse, working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

  International consultant, full‑time, 12 months (up to 48 months).
