Overview
We are searching for a Top Secret cleared Systems Engineer (Senior) to join our team in Washington, DC.
The organization accelerates operations through data and new analytical insights. The section leverages agile methods and provides tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization. The section collaborates with the enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed mission needs.
Responsibilities- Supervise, coordinate and/or design, develop and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, operating systems, and attached devices; investigate, analyze, recommend, configure, install, and test new network hardware and software.
- Provide direct support in day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems, including evaluating system utilization, monitoring response time, and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
- Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, work with network measurement hardware and software, and perform physical testing of hardware devices; also work with communication protocols at the logical level.
- Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data networks.
- Perform systems management and integration functions; maintain virtualization technologies and network administration; uphold network infrastructure standards including TCP/IP; provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government.
- Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems; ensure systems are current with approved patches and assist with certification and system accreditation tasks; compose SOPs and Quick Reference guides for users.
- Advise on selection of technological purchases related to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development; assess feasibility of future projects; set standards for client/server relational database structure.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with 5 years of relevant experience and strong Linux skills; minimum 8 years recommended in some descriptions.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelor’s degree (or additional years of experience in lieu of degree)

The annual starting salary for this position is between $160,000-$175,000. Factors affecting starting pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
