What you can expect as the Technical Account Manager, Federal Programs at Fortress...
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is an individual contributor on the Fortress Delivery
- Government team. The TAM is the technical point of contact for assigned scope within a federal program, turning client mission requirements into platform configuration, delivery tasking, and technical guidance for working-level government stakeholders. The position bridges client advisory, delivery execution, and product feedback, offering direct exposure to high-impact DoD and Navy programs at a career stage where few professionals gain this depth of hands-on federal cybersecurity experience.
The TAM stays hands-on with the Fortress platform and assigns and reviews the work of Forward Deployed Engineers before it reaches the client. The TAM also brings field insight to Product and passes follow-on opportunities from delivery to Business Development. This is the entry level of the Technical Account Manager family. The TAM works within a Fortress lance under a Senior Technical Account Manager or portfolio lead, with coaching toward independent ownership of a program relationship and a defined path to Senior Technical Account Manager.
