Senior Database Administrato

The Senior Database Administrator will manage, optimize, and secure UFUQ's database environments that support operations across multiple brands and outlets. This part-time, remote role involves designing and maintaining databases, monitoring performance, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and data integrity. Daily responsibilities include implementing backup and recovery strategies, troubleshooting database issues, and optimizing queries and schemas for transactional and analytical workloads. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to support reporting, data-driven decision-making, and new application initiatives.

The Senior Database Administrator will contribute to database standards, documentation, and best practices to support scalable growth.

• Strong skills in Database Administration and hands-on experience managing production databases.
• Proficiency in Database Design and Data Modeling to support scalable and maintainable systems.
• Solid understanding of Databases, including relational database management systems and related tools.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for diagnosing performance issues, optimizing queries, and supporting data analysis.
• Experience with backup, recovery, high availability, and security best practices for databases.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and monitoring tools is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in retail, food and beverage, or multi-branch environments is an advantage.
