Job Description
TMC Technologies is in search of a Database Administrator specializing in both Oracle and Postgres to support a federal client. The candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of an active Top Secret clearance
to start due to federal contract requirements.
- Administer Oracle and Postgres databases
- Debug Oracle and Postgres databases
- Patch and upgrade Oracle and Postgres databases
- Conduct performance tuning on Oracle and Postgres databases
- Resolve issues with Oracle and Postgres databases
Job Requirements
- US Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of DBA experience required
- Experience administering Oracle or Postgres databases (ideally both)
- Experience with AWS/RDS/S3/DMS
- Experience working with and debugging Oracle/Postgres databases
- Experience with Oracle/Postgres database patching and upgrades
- Experience conducting performance tuning on Oracle/Postgres databases
- Experience with Oracle/Postgres database backup/recovery tools and techniques, such as Oracle RMAN and Flashback
- Experience with restoring Oracle/Postgres databases
- Experience configuring Oracle/Postgres databases to meet federal security guidelines
- Experience identifying and resolving performance or availability issues in databases
- Experience providing guidance and support to application developers in the creation and deployment of DML or DDL scripts in support of application maintenance or deployment
