Hybrid 2 days onsite / 3 days remote in Washington, DC

Our client seeks a Program Manager – Research, Insights & Analytics to lead the design, execution, and integration of quantitative and qualitative research that informs strategy, innovation, customer and member experiences, product development, and decision-making. The role operates within a business strategy context and will partner across departments to define learning agendas, gather and analyze data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of research initiatives, maintain methodological rigor, and communicate insights to executive audiences.

Rate: $38.00 to $48.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a research roadmap aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical business questions and research needs.
  • Select appropriate methodologies for strategic challenges and opportunities.
  • Establish research standards, best practices, and governance processes.
  • Manage multiple research initiatives to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Design and manage surveys, tracking studies, segmentation, market assessments, and evaluations.
  • Develop measurement frameworks and KPIs.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, drivers, opportunities, and risks.
  • Analyze customer, member, market, operational, financial, and behavioral datasets.
  • Develop forecasting models, scenario analyses, and predictive insights.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and methodological rigor.
  • Lead interviews, focus groups, online communities, and other qualitative studies.
  • Develop discussion guides and research protocols.
  • Conduct thematic analysis to identify needs, perceptions, motivations, and pain points.
  • Utilize AI-enabled and traditional qualitative analysis tools.
  • Triangulate qualitative findings with quantitative data.
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources into clear narratives.
  • Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Communicate implications, risks, and opportunities for decision-makers.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and scorecards to track performance.
  • Monitor trends in engagement, satisfaction, adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Establish and monitor organizational KPIs.
  • Support performance measurement and evaluation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for strategic planning.
  • Conduct market opportunity assessments and competitive analyses.
  • Support innovation, product development, customer experience, and membership initiatives.
  • Evaluate program and product effectiveness and ROI.
  • Identify emerging trends and future opportunities.
  • Build partnerships with executives, leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on research, analytics, and insights.
  • Facilitate workshops, discussions, and insight reviews.
  • Promote a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
Experience Requirements
  • 5+ years in research, insights, analytics, market research, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative research experience.
  • End-to-end project and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with survey and analytics tools such as Qualtrics, R, SQL and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, with statistical literacy for segmentation, conjoint, and experiments.
  • Familiarity with qualitative tools such as Dove Tail, Listen Lab, or Natter.ai and collaboration tools such as Miro or Mural.
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive storytelling, and facilitation skills across a matrixed, multi-location environment.
  • Project management excellence including scope, timelines, vendor contracts, and quality control.
  • Experience in associations, academic publishing, STEM, or mission-driven organizations.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Business, Behavioral Science, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred in a research, analytics, or social science discipline.
