Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Systems Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will support our clients by providing strategic guidance for new applications or the enhancement of existing ones. This role involves analyzing client requirements and developing recommendations for system solutions through development, system improvements, and operational optimizations. This is a new position on the program, supporting the review of an existing environment and its future transformation.

Key Responsibilities
* Investigate, analyze, and resolve routine and advanced problems in selected functional areas.
* Assess, gather, and evaluate client application requirements.
* Analyze, design, develop, implement, and maintain a variety of client environments or solutions.
* Coordinate work with developers, testers, operations, engineers, and clients as required.
* Write technical documentation, including analysis sheets and specification documents for solutions and enhancements.
* Handle portions of larger projects, including data development, analysis, and client interaction.
* Perform database queries to troubleshoot problems and suggest changes to database design that support proposed solutions.
* Work with existing SQL queries, analyze them, and sift through data.

Required Qualifications

* Education:

** Bachelor’s Degree.
*
* Experience:

** 5 years of relevant experience.
** Technical

Skills:

** Proficient in understanding the Software Development Lifecycle and ability to write SQL reports and select statements.

Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is strongly preferred.
* Experience in software testing, creation, and implementation.
* Capability to develop SQL to support testing analysis activities, including back-end database testing.
* Hands-on experience with Data Studio.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).Work Environment The position will initially require being on-site for a period before becoming eligible for a hybrid schedule based on performance and client comfort. The role involves working closely with the government client and taking direction directly from them. The team consists of approximately six members.
