ASI Government provides government leaders with the expertise they need to navigate acquisition and organizational challenges so they can make an impact and achieve their goals. For over 30
years, ASI has transformed the way government does business, impacting over
70
government agencies across the civilian, defense, and intelligence communities.
Do you thrive on creating unique and impactful value for Federal clients? Are you passionate about partnering with clients and collaborating to create solutions? Do you enjoy the opportunity to drive change that impacts our nation?
We are looking for smart, curious, driven individuals to join us in partnering with our client to help them solve some of the nation’s most challenging problems. ASI Government serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change.
The AI Consultant will be ASI's senior technical-consulting voice on artificial intelligence and emerging technology opportunities across federal and DoD engagements. This is a pre-sales-leaning, client-facing role — part technologist, part trusted advisor — someone who can sit across the table from a federal executive, translate AI, data, and automation capability into mission impact, and shape that conversation into a qualified, winnable opportunity.
The role partners closely with Business Development/Capture leads to bring AI and emerging-tech expertise into the pipeline, and works with delivery teams to ensure what's proposed is deliverable.
- Serve as the senior consulting advisor on AI and emerging-technology opportunities during client discovery, shaping, and capture
- Partner with Business Development/Capture leads to identify, qualify, and shape AI-enabled solutions across the DoD/Federal pipeline
- Lead client-facing discovery sessions, translating mission needs into an AI/technology strategy narrative executives can act on
- Support proposal development — win themes, solutioning, and technical input for AI-related volumes
- Build and maintain relationships with technical and mission stakeholders across DoD/federal agencies
- Track GenAI, automation, and data-platform trends and translate them into concrete, government-relevant use cases — including acquisition and back-office process automation, an area where ASI already delivers measurable results
- Represent ASI at industry events and conferences focused on AI/emerging technology in government
- Coordinate with delivery and Emerging Technologies practice teams to keep proposed AI solutions grounded, resourced, and deliverable
- 8–10+ years combined experience across technology consulting and/or AI/data strategy, including federal or DoD client work
- Demonstrated pre-sales or business-development-adjacent experience — comfortable shaping opportunities in front of clients, not only delivering them
- Strong working knowledge of AI/ML, automation, and data concepts sufficient to advise at a strategic level (hands‑on coding not required)
- Excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience supporting proposal development and capture efforts
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Active Secret clearance (preferred) and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance required
- Experience in a pre-sales or engineering sales environment.
- Deep network of CIO’s and other Technology Leaders in the DoW space.
- Existing relationships with DoD/federal technical or mission stakeholders
- Experience with GWACs, IDIQs, and OTAs
- Prior experience at a top‑tier consulting firm or systems integrator
- Clearance:
Top Secret or higher
- Work on high-impact, high-visibility projects that improve government…
