Description:

The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) is a woman-owned, independent language school based in Washington, DC with over 58 years of experience delivering high-quality training in ESL and foreign languages to government and corporate clients. The ICLS mission is to offer learner-centered language training that develop authentic target language use, focus on individual goals, and enable students to be successful in a global environment.

This is a public notice to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies for potential consideration. This notice is to gather applications that may or may not result in a selection.

ICLS is currently seeking experienced Language Testers to assess the language proficiency. These high-stake assessments will be conducted by a trained testing team that uphold the highest level of professionalism to ensure validity and test reliability.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge and exposure to the Interagency Language Roundtable Skill Level Descriptions
• Thorough experience in profiling and scoring language samples in high-stake testing situations
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a team (both on Zoom and in-person)
• Intuitive attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Welcoming, empathetic and patient nature
• Ability to adapt to situations that change quickly

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or master's Degree
• Familiarity with government testing formats (eg. OPI, Department of State, and Department of Defense DLPT)
• Security Clearances (if applicable): public trust, secret, top secret (TS)
