Routinely operates a continuous or unit set collator based on job ticket instructions. Conducts routine maintenance and makes minor repairs to equipment as necessary.

• Reviews job folder for special instructions pertaining to any bindery and finishing requirements.
• Primarily responsible for the set‑up and operation of a collator, but may be cross‑trained on other equipment such as:
  Encoder, Label Affixer, Rewinder, Folder, Stitcher, Drill (punch).
• Reports production problems and/or errors to identify possible changes in procedures to prevent re‑occurrence.
• Ensures equipment maintenance is performed and reports any downtime affecting production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Operates all equipment using proper safety procedures; uses proper lifting techniques; ensures carts and pallets are properly stowed and completes housekeeping on a routine basis.

• High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
• 1–5 years of related training and experience with demonstrated competency in the operation of a collator and some of the bindery machines noted above.
