Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is currently hiring a Plant Operator Supervisor in support of our government customer in Washington, DC.

The Plant Operator Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of a sophisticated automated wastewater pretreatment plant. The Operator Supervisor is required to ensure that all equipment operates properly and that all liquid chemical levels remain within tolerance. The Operator Supervisor should have experience working with wastewater treatment equipment, pumps, motors, mixers, tanks, filter presses, and PLC/SCADA control equipment. The Operator Supervisor will always work under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager.
EssentialFunctions, Responsibilities & Duties
- Wear various PPE when necessary, including Tyvek suits, acid‑rated suits, full‑face respirators, dust masks, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Perform confined space entry on tanks and floor pits as needed.
- Shovel out sludge boxes and other tanks as needed.
- Calibrate pH and ORP meters.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment when needed.
- Clean plate and frame filter presses as needed.
- Complete all annual trainings required by the contract.
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Four (4) years of experience supervising operators in an industrial wastewater pretreatment or chemical process plant.
- Lift and carry 50 lb bags of chemicals up ladders and stairs to mixing tanks.
- Climb ladders and stairs to perform plant checks every 2 hours.
- Pass respiratory fit testing as outlined in 29 CFR (fit testing is performed annually).
- Knowledgeable in using Human‑Machine Interface (HMI)/SCADA software that operates the applicable portions of the plant.
- Hold a current Association of Boards of Certification (ABC) Class III or higher Wastewater Treatment or equivalent certification.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing; able to read and understand English.
- U.S. citizen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
