Manufacturing / Production Shift Supervisor
Location:
Shelton, WA
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday Thursday, 4:00 PM 2:30 AM
Training:
Day shift training for approximately 90 days
Job Type: Full-Time
Ascend Staffing is hiring an experienced Manufacturing / Production Shift Supervisor for a growing production facility in Shelton, WA. We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who can work alongside the production team while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do- Lead, coach, and support the production crew
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment
- Set expectations for safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity
- Monitor production performance and help resolve issues
- Train, mentor, and develop team members
- Oversee production equipment and manufacturing processes
- Maintain accurate production and downtime records
- Monitor quality results and address production concerns
- Provide coverage for production positions when needed
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
- 35 years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or a fast‑paced production environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Continuous‑improvement mindset
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Wood products or pellet manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to stand and walk for approximately 80% of the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Pre‑employment background check and drug screen required
