Overview
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator leads strategic communications and marketing initiatives that advance National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) mission and enhance member value. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple priorities with precision and work effectively with volunteers, staff, and external partners to build strong teams and community relationships.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator serves as a hands-on content creator with strong design sensibility, producing accurate, engaging, and visually consistent communications across written, visual, and multimedia formats. The ideal candidate is both imaginative and meticulous, someone who notices spacing, alignment, tone, and timing, and takes pride in delivering polished, professional work across every channel.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Communications & Marketing- Develop and execute communication and marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure consistent tone, messaging, branding, and visual standards across all channels.
- Coordinate digital and print marketing efforts to promote programs, events, and initiatives.
- Plan and manage targeted marketing campaigns, including segmentation and calendar development.
- Monitor engagement metrics and use data to evaluate and improve communication effectiveness.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, vendors, and partners to support communications needs across programs, conferences, and initiatives.
- Provide support for conferences and events, including promotional planning and communications.
- Manage advertising deliverables for digital ads and newsletter placements, including client communication and analytics reporting.
- Write, edit, and proof content for newsletters, email campaigns, website updates, and other communications.
- Design and coordinate graphics for digital campaigns, advertising, and organizational materials.
- Translate complex or technical subject matter into accessible, member-friendly communications.
- Maintain visual consistency and uphold brand standards across all content formats.
- Manage day to day updates, layout, and content maintenance for NONPF websites.
- Publish and maintain accurate, up to date content for programs, events, and organizational initiatives.
- Develop and manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery and brand consistency across digital channels.
- Create, schedule, and manage social media content that supports programs, events, member engagement, and community storytelling.
- Monitor social media channels, respond appropriately, and elevate issues when needed.
- Provide regular performance reports on social media, email campaigns, and advertising.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support NONPF’s success.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or related field required, master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and communications within a nonprofit, government, or community-based organization.
- Experience working toward measurable, revenue-driven goals and using data to evaluate outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience producing digital, print, and multimedia marketing collateral.
- US citizen
- Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Strong graphic design and visual content creation skills, with the ability to produce polished, on-brand digital assets.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, basic design software, and content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Creative, adaptable, and able to quickly learn new tools, techniques, and systems.
- Self motivated, reliable, and effective working both independently and collaboratively.
- Solid understanding of the full marketing cycle, including planning, production, and audience/prospect management.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Moderate public contact.
- Some travel is required for meetings, conferences, and training.
