Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - Obstetrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a postpartum/mother baby unit with current DC RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.

Job Details

• Position is in a postpartum/mother baby unit within a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes vaginal delivery, C-section, and gynecological surgery cases,

• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, working three days per week,

• Must be available for 13-week assignment,

• No on-call responsibilities are listed,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license required at time of consideration,

• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required,

• Minimum two years recent postpartum/mother baby experience in a US hospital required,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required,

• BSN highly preferred,

• Two manager or supervisor references from the past 12 months are preferred, including one from the most recent employer,

• Social Security Number required for consideration,

• CPI certification mandated for this position,

Additional Information

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for postpartum, newborn, and post-surgical GYN patients,

• Serve as a professional leader and resource to the healthcare team,

• Adhere to patient-centered care principles and service excellence standards,

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members,

• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility,
