Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a DC license, 2 years of L&D experience, and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities
Work in a hospital labor and delivery unit
Care for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery, including scheduled procedures and triage
Unit activities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
Uses fetal monitors and electronic documentation systems, including Cerner and Fetalink
Day shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week
Care for patients needing C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and triage evaluation
Documentation is completed in Cerner and Fetalink
Position requires CPI certification
Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled
Scrub or dress code information not specified
Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler

Requirements
Active DC RN license required
Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience in a US hospital
Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Cerner experience required
Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Candidate must provide SSN, date of birth, driver’s license, and all current certifications for consideration
No pending licenses accepted
