Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a DC license, required certifications, and two years of acute care OR experience for a 9-week contract.

Job Details

• Work in an operating room setting within a hospital,

• 10-hour day shifts, ,

• On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays,

• No local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license in hand,

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program,

• Two years of recent acute care OR experience in a US hospital required,

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only),

• CPI certification mandated,

• BSN highly desired,

• Must provide Social Security Number, driver's license, and two professional manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months,

• No pending license accepted for consideration,

Additional Information

• Responsible for scrubbing and circulating during operative procedures,

• Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all are functional and available,

• Coordinates with team members to assess, plan, and implement intraoperative care,

• Serves as a communication liaison for patients, families, and the surgical team,

• Adheres to standards and aseptic techniques,

• Holiday coverage required,

• Must comply with work environment mandates including COVID and flu vaccination requirements,
